New Neighbors

We met our new neighbors today. They are renting the Marise's home next door and are stationed here for 2 years. They just moved here from Texas. They have a son who is going into 4th grade and a daughter named Madie who is going into 1st grade at Pleasant Grove. They also have an English Bulldog named Bella (same as our cat). I can't believe the similarities. I am a little leary of letting Madie get to close to her new neighbor. The little girl doesn't seem to like school and I don't want Madie hanging out with someone like that. We will just have to closely watch and see.

My baby girl returned home safe and sound from her first sleepover. She is totally exhausted, but had a fabulous time.

Michael David is thrilled to have her home. He has been asking me all day when she was coming home. It was too quiet without her here today, but I'm sure this is just the first of many days to come.

We didn't do much today. I got my hair done and painted four signs for people at work. Mike and Michael David went to Joe Patti's and swam in the pool.

Well, it is time to retire to the bed as a whole family again. These times are precious!

Babies Growing Up

Well, Madie is spending the night away from home for the first time. She packed her bag last night and it included 5 pairs of shoes, 5 dresses, 1 princess crown, and other essentials for an overnight trip.

Michael David and I had a date tonight. He put hairspray in his hair and cologne on for his big night. We ate at Carraba's, went to Michael's and Target, and then saw the movie "Fly Me to the Moon." Mike had to work the Rave, so he was able to join for a little while.

I called to check on Madie after the movie, and she was having a blast. They had played dress up, watch Sponge Bob, wrestled, played on the computer, had a popcorn fight, and ate pizza. Tomorrow they are planning on swimming and enjoying the beautiful weather we have here.

Michael David is a bit lonely without his sister here. I suspect that he will want to sleep with me tonight considering he and his sis always sleep together. They are so close and I know he really misses her.

September 4, 2008

I got the idea to start a blog from my stepmom, Liz. I thought it would be a great way to keep friends and family informed of the daily happenings here in Pensacola. I look forward to sharing everyday events with you.

Here is a quick run down of all that is going on at the moment. I'm co-teaching Kindergarten with Deanna Paul. We are down to 28 kiddos, but will probably lose 2 because we are getting another unit. Mike is staying busy with police work and wedding videos. Madie is enjoying her 3rd week of 2nd grade. One of her teachers stopped by my room today to let me know that she is "One smart cookie." She is sleeping over at Reagan's house tomorrow night. This will be the first time she has spent the night at a friend's house. Reagan spent the night with us last weekend. Michael is happy to be back at Etta's.
